Simmental

In the last couple of years we have added a small selection of red and red blazed faced Simmental genetics to the GK program. We believe the natural polled, solid red coloured version of this maternal European breed, has quite a place to play in the Queensland beef industry.

The Red Simmental will give our clients the opportunity to further utilise hybrid vigour, without sacrificing maternal abilities in general or uniformity of type and colour in their herds.

Our first Simmental embryos were sourced from leading donor cows out of the now dispersed Remington Land and Cattle program in Alberta, Canada after viewing their herd sires and part of their magnificent cow herd in July 2009.

We have since added several top quality North American bred, foundation females to our herd, from leading breeders around Australia. Please enquire about Red Simmental Bulls, heifers and genetic packages.
